Eligible to vote in that precinct (or if there is an insufficient number of identified election judges in that precinct, eligible to vote in that municipality or school district even if in another county, or if there are still too few election judges, eligible to vote elsewhere in the county the precinct is in)
Affiliated with a major political party
Able to read, write and speak English
Appointed by the City Council
Trained and currently certified as an election judge
Training will be provided to certify you as an election judge. The training will be conducted by the City of New Ulm and Brown County.
You may not be an election judge if you are:
A candidate in that election (i.e., they are running for an office on the ballot used in that precinct)
The husband, wife, parent, child, brother, or sister of a candidate or another judge in the same precinct
Anyone who cannot read, write or speak the English language
